Simon is originally from Bristol but was lured away by the better weather, stranger animals, and plentiful tasty red wine to Sydney, Australia. On arrival he managed to take over the Tuesday night slot for 8EAR radio in Nhulunbuy, a remote bauxite mining town in the Northern Territory, and caused much confusion to the local community by introducing obscure Punk and Industrial bands onto the airwaves, starting his show with the squealing feedback of Gang of Four's 'Love like Anthrax'. He escaped unharmed and in his spare time now travels to obscure parts of the globe and writes about it on his blog www.farflungplaces.net.
