Jazz Summers has died after a long battle against cancer. The last of the great behemoth managers Jazz fought every inch of the way for his artists and will be sorely missed.

Managing bands since the seventies and with a rosta that has included the likes of Wham! The Verve, Snow Patrol, London Grammar and many others and his colourful career was documented in his Big Life autobiography. A key figure in modern British music Jazz helped create the modern music scene with his artist first policy and his protection of his charges in a collapsing music business.

The measure of his key role in the music scene can only be measured in the out pouring if online grief from many key names today as the much missed maverick passed away.
