Reading’s DOUBLEDOTBASH! festival is this weekend, celebrating its 5th year and including a headline performance by Magik Markers plus Louder Than War favourite Ichi and more…

This year DOUBLEDOTBASH! has moved it’s usual summer slot to late September. It’s still at Reading’s South Street Arts Centre though, where you can expect a varied mix of bands and artists to play.

The all-dayer kicks off from 4pm and includes Nottingham’s Kogumaza, Reading band and Julian Cope favourites Workin’ Man Noise Unit and loads more over the two stages.

Here’s the full line-up:

Magik Markers // Kogumaza // Rachael Dadd // Ichi // Damn Damn Patriots // Dog Legs // Frau // John Q Microwave // Personnel // Phil Black // Quiet Victories // Sly & The Family Drone // Stoddler // Arsenio // Wild Island // Workin’ Man Noise Unit

Tickets are still available and are £11.20 in advance and £15 on the day (including booking fee), from South Street Art’s Centre and also We Got Tickets.

Is there a better way to spend your Saturday? I’ve picked out some videos of not to be missed bands below and for more info you can also check out the DOUBLEDOTBASH! Facebook event page.

Dog Legs, a Brighton based duo who released the brilliant Awkward EP in 2013.

Magik Markers. From Connecticut and on possibly the world’s finest record label, Drag City.

Damn Damn Patriots, Reading’s finest purveyors of fuzzy Rock and Roll in perfect 2 minute chunks.

Louder Than War favourite and all-round genius ICHI.

Racheal Dadd, basically Bristol’s Bjork. I’m not being flippant, her music is that kind of sonically dynamic and life-enriching experience.
