Michael Eavis spotted at heaton park, our man wonders if this means the Roses will headline the legendary festival in 2013/14
Legendary Glastonbury festival organised Michael Eavis was spotted at the Stone Roses’ Heaton Park concert. The Lancashire Evening Telegraph reported with glee the support Eavis gave to a Lancashire festival whilst at Heaton Park but the big story that seems to have eluded their judgement is Eavis’ very presence at Heaton Park. In January, Michael Eavis explained that the headliners for Glastonbury 2013 were “already sorted” – are the Stone Roses already booked or was Eavis watching them with hopes of booking them for 2014? Rumours are abound that the Rolling Stones are to bow out at next year’s Worthy farm festival; surely booking the Rolling Stones and the Stone Roses is too good to be true?
It’s no secret that Eavis sees the Roses as dream headliners, and the band have always had an interesting history with the festival – playing the Pilton Party in 1994 and being set to headline the festival itself in 1995 until fate aligned John Squire’s leg to be broken and Pulp to be availible.
Either way, Glastonbury tickets go on sale at 9am on October 7th.
