I’m a Smash Hits junkie so this book was always going to be a must-read for me. I bought the audiobook – read by Ellen himself – and couldn’t stop giggling from start to finish. It’s as much a warm, feelgood chronicle of popular music as it is a memoir, taking us from the 1960s up to present day. Ellen’s undiminished sense of enthusiasm is completely infectious. Thumbs very much aloft!
