Failure – Fantastic Planet
I rarely talk about my lowest point, but “Heliotropic” was my song for quite a while. I would sit on the bus, staring into space, every hair on my arms stood on end as this song burned slowly into my head. Every sound on this record is perfect, too. Just like its subject matter, every instrument is simply crushing. Anyone who’s heard You The Living can hear the internal struggle between the guitarist and bass player in me, and this album always makes that battle even harder… They both sound so cool!
