Wilko Johnson announces dates of his farewell tourWilko Johnson, guitarist and founding member of Dr. Feelgood, will perform four farewell concerts in the UK during March 2013.  The news follows last week’s official statement on Wilko’s Facebook page that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas and has chosen not to undergo chemotherapy.

Says Wilko’s manager, Robert Hoy, “The four UK dates represent an opportunity for Wilko to express his sincere thanks to his fans for all the support he has had over his long career.”

  1. Have seen Wilko support The Stranglers on numerous occassions, the last at the Weekendinblack Convention in November 2011.
    Always the consumate showman and delivered every time, obviously enjoying what he was doing.
    Would have loved to have gotten to see him perform one more time and wished him a fond adieu, but unfortunately I won’t be in the Country at the time.
    Going out on his terms, rocking all the way.

  2. REALLY sad news, saw him in Sheffield a year or so ago and he was superb. Lots of love to Wilko, his family and his many fans.
