Wilko Johnson to play music legend show at DV8Fest 2013, York on Sunday 14th July

DV8Fest is happy to announce that Wilko Johnson will be closing off this year’s DV8Fest in York with a special show at Fibbers on the 14th July, marking his extraordinary contribution to the UK’s music industry.

Statement from Wilko:

‘It seems that I am still being spared the final onslaught of my terminal cancer. As the memory of the Farewell Tour recedes I am feeling again the desire to get up on stage and do my thing while health allows – so it is that I have decided to make some festival appearances during the summer.”

This show brings together the real ethos of this ever expanding indoor music event with legendary and up and coming acts performing together in intimate local music venues – A limited number of tickets for this special show will be available at £22.50 will go onsale at 6pm on Wednesday 19th June.

There will also be a limited number of day and weekend tickets which will include access to this show as well as the other 30+ amazing acts performing over the 4 days in York including Midge Ure, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Echobelly, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed for Nothing, Wet Nuns, Ed Tudor Pole and more.
