Check out this new video by Dot Dash, an excellent Washington DC based post punk band with a touch of the British XTC Wire thing about them. The track’s called “A Light in The Distance” and it’s from their recently released (third) album Half-Remembered Dream.

The band have a strong pedigree featuring former members of bands including Julie Ocean, Swervedriver, Youth Brigade, Velocity Girl and many others.

So if a your in the mood for discovering your next favourite riff sodden but also tune filled band you need look no further than Dot Dash.

If you want to grab a copy of the album (and we recommend you do) go visit their Candian label thebeautifulmusic.com or the group’s Bandcamp.

Dot Dash can be found on Facebook here.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.

  1. Thanks Guy for giving Dot Dash and our tiny label a mention. They are an amazing band that deserve a lot more promotion than we can afford to give them so we really appreciate everyone talking about them.
