Watch This: New Video By The Jim Jones Revue

Below we have the pleasure to bring you a premiere of the brand new video by The Jim Jones Revue for their soon to be released single Where Da Money Go?

Safe to say The Jim Jones Revue are firm favourites with us at Louder Than War. We absolutely loved the album they released earlier back in October, The Savage Heart, with our man Ged Babey describing it as “a blinding, powerful, magnificent, cinematic, rip-roaring rock’n’roll album”. Phew!

It was recently announced that one of the best cuts of said album, Where Da Money Go? had been chosen as the second single off the album. It’s due for release on Xmas eve and today we’re thrilled to be able to bring you the first look at the video that’s been shot to accompany it.

The press release that brought news that Where Da Money Go? was to be the next single described it as being:

“A piano-driven riff monster … inspired by the rage induced by the banking crisis and last year’s riots (which were) witnessed by The Jim Jones Revue (upon their) returning to Hackney after touring in France.”

The single was produced by Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman/Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) and mixed by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys/DJ Shadow) and if you scroll down you can join us in being one of the first people to see the video.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
