A fortnight or so ago we premiered a track by a band recently signed to PINS label, Haus of PINS, called Cheri Cheri Jaguar (read the article here). As we said about them then, the band’s music is:

“…suffused with an eerie, almost goth like charm … they are another band mining the currently in vogue genre of “dark wave” by marrying together both post-punk and shoegazey sounds with the ethereal & glitchy.”

The band describe themselves as being inspired by darkness, unknown landscapes and creatures under the bed!

The first single to be released by the band is called Jaguar. It’s due out on 1st November on limited edition purple cassette and CD and today, through TYCI blog (a collective run by women) its accompanying video received its world premiere – and you can now watch it below as well.

To purchase either physical releases, CD or cassette, visit Haus of PINS website here: hausofpins.co.uk. Bear in mind if you intend becoming a Cheri Cheri Jaguar completist though you’ll have to purchase both, as each has a different “extra track” on it!

Cheri Cheri Jaguar have a Tumblr and can also be found on Facebook & Soundcloud.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
