Lucy And The Rats

Lucy And The RatsWith their new album, Got Lucky, about to drop, Lucy And The Rats have released a new video for the song On Fire.

London-based bubblegum garage four-piece Lucy And The Rats are gearing up to release their anticipated second album, Got Lucky (reviewed here for Louder Than War). As another taster, the band have recorded a video for the track On Fire, one of the sweeter slices from what is a great summer-vibe album.

Check out the video below!

Formed by Lucy Spazzy, of Australian pop-punk trio The Spazzys, back in 2015 after she upped sticks and headed for London, the band was completed by members of Johhny Throttle and Thee Tumbitas to form strong dirty garage-rock roots under the crystalline pop melodies. The result on their new album, Got Lucky, is a catchy collection of earworms that strike a perfect balance between the two styles.

Back in 2018, on their debut album, we said that Lucy And The Rats’ music was a definite no-brainer for hazy summer days and fun-filled nights. Their new album has built on the idea more. Whether they are aiming for more bubblegum-pop or more rough punk rhythms, they hit the mark every time on Got Lucky.

Got Lucky will be released on the 3rd of July on Dirty Water Records and Stardumb Records. The album is available now on pre-order from both labels.
