Joe Wong has got great form and a stellar cast of guests.  The award winning composer, American multi-instrumentalist, singer, podcaster host of ‘The Trapset’ is about to release a new album of lush psychedelic classic pop that feels like the sixties but sounds like now.

To get you in the mood we have a video exclusive here. It features two tracks from his debut solo, psychedelic album, ‘Nite Creatures’ which is released by  Decca Records on 5th February 2021 and features members of War on Drugs, London Symphony Orchestra,  Flaming Lips, Melvins and others.

To accompany the release, Joe Wong has created a new video for tracks, ‘Minor/Nuclear Rainbow’, entirely filmed under Covid-19 lockdown through the artist’s windows and taking in all precautions.

Filmed over the course of several weeks all over Los Angeles – with two satellite shoots taking place in Washington, DC – the video brings together a diverse group of musicians to create a piece that feels truly collaborative at a time when we are profoundly physically isolated.

Though this is not a quarantine-themed video, we made the decision to fold the restrictions and limitations into the aesthetic concept of the video to make something that feels current, timeless, and a bit apocalyptic”, comments director Sam Macon.

Musicians appearing at their windows include:-

Joe Wong: Voice, Drums

Paul Cartwright: Violin (Black Eyed Peas, Los Lobos)
Amy Domingues: Cello (DC)
Marta Honer: Viola (Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Ms. Lauryn Hill, )
