Watch This! Full Set Video of Mogwai At Simple ThingsPhoto of Mogwai © Harry Leath

Our album of the year list aside it’s probably fair to say that Mogwai have been Louder Than War’s stand out band of the year. It seems like there hasn’t been a month go by when we haven’t run either a review of a new album, a reissued album, an EP, a live review or an interview with one of the band. So when we spotted a link to this live video of their whole set at Simple Things a few weeks ago (see our review of that here) it seemed like a great way to draw a curtain down over our coverage of Mogwai in 2014. So scroll down, click play and either stay with it or find some of our Mogwai coverage 2014 to read on the link below as you listen to an incredible band play an incredible set.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
