watch this! best new band in Manchester, the Minx post new video for brilliant new singleThe Minx have been around for a year or so in Manchester working hard and working against the grain.

This is not some kind of hipster media luvvie band but the doc marten wearing ruffian sound of the city – a sort of wonky descendent of the northern soul all nighters with a punky DM and a motown stomp, plus a savvy 2 tone moon stomp – there is the whiff of the very early scooter boy Stone Roses and even the northern soul bounce for the pre-E Happy Mondays but all souped up in a punk rock chassis and held together by skinhead braces.

This is a band that can hold its own at Rebellion festival and Glastonbury and have created their own party against the tide- always something we love at Louder Than War.

Anyhow here is their new video for the new single “(Can You Find) My Head?” which will be officially released by Queen Street Records on Monday 9th December 2013 on limited coloured 7″ vinyl and download only.

It’s a killer single and their best song yet and one of the best singles this year and could be the breakthough for the band

  1. Alright I guess! They sound like The Inspiral Carpets and the Arctic Monkeys had sex and made a baby band. I’m not even sure the whole skinhead image suits their sound to be honest. Not bad sounding guys.
