Arthur Fortune returns with the brilliant passport. Expect dope beats and tongues firmly planted in cheeks.
With his appealingly unique hip-hop vocals, Arthur Fortune comes across like the mutant love child of The Streets’ Mike Skinner, and Mac Miller, proving himself to be an evocative songwriter who can express the brutality and banality of everyday life in simple and moving terms.
This latest single Passport follows on from previous tracks The Introduction and L.O.N, and tells the amusing story of a shy young man trying to overcome his fears with the opposite sex whilst combining Fortune’s signature tongue-in-cheek style rhymes with the booming hip hop beats of 184 (Button Eyes),
Passport is a self conscious journey through the psyche of desperate guy’s quest and features the infamous ‘Yeah! Woo! sample on loop found on a number of legendary hip hop tracks.
This is the third track to be taken from the upcoming release, Last Day of Summer, produced exclusively by the aforementioned 184. Expect more light hearted rap flows, strong folk and trap inspired beats and creative low-fi videos soon.
