Wardruna announce big London show

Wardruna, the Norwegian band who came from black metal and set out on their own idiosyncratic path are to play their first British gig. their live shows are an amazing spectacle with a true mystical power about them.

We reviewed their new album this week.

With two albums based on runes and using the oldest of Nordic instruments and poetic metres to carefully weave the elements of traditional Norse folk and ambient song into a rich musical landscape. Drawing inspiration in equal part from folklore and ancient runes Wardruna’s music is a powerful as it is unique.

They will play Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank
Southbank Centre Belvedere Road London SE1 8XX

  1. “White People and the Damage Done” the sublime 2nd long player by Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine has been on my turntable all week. Any word from Louder Than War – The John Robb Part Time Punk Pantomime Site? Nah sorry. Try http://loudwire.com/former-dead-kennedys-vocalist-jello-biafra-to-release-white-people-and-the-damage-done/
At least LOUDWIRE aren’t sitting round with their thumb as well as their head up their arse.
