  1. Are these guys still knocking out this kind of stuff? I mean, I love their sound: great driving bass riffs that go on forever, and a rhythm section as good and tight as…say… Jesus Lizard… or, more recently, Grinderman (who are much more interesting)?

    So if this IS a new track, these guys haven’t moved on in over 15 years. They sound exactly as they did back then. Maybe, they’re doing it for the kids, who haven’t heard all this before – I don’t know? Take Fugazi, for instance, who I love, their sound has matured over the years.

    I suppose now I should listen to a recent Shellac LP, and maybe I’ll be eating my words, eh?
