Vaclav Havel RIP
So farwell then to the most rock n roll world leader ever;

Vaclav Havel was the Czech president who led the late eighties Velvet Revolution in his home country.

He was made President, and when he went to America for his first state meeting… he visited CBGB’s. He asked Frank Zappa for advice , and loved the Velvet Underground.

He was a proper music fan, not a PR fake like some closer to home.

When he got in power it was like having one of our own lot up there. It may not have always worked but at least his heart was in the right place.

  1. of course like your web-site but you have to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to inform the truth however I¡¦ll certainly come back again.

  2. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  3. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
