New band of the day – Sharp Tongues

Louder Than War angular faves Sharp Tongues are to make their London headlining debut at a new Camden Town venue this weekend.

The band, fronted by Canadian ex-pat Julia Muth, will be joined by Los Pepes (ex Winebago Deal) and Ducks Fly To Moscow (ex Tokyo Dragons) at the new-look Wheelbarrow, 55 Camden High Street (formerly Tommy Flynn’s), on Saturday March 24. Admission is free.

The Tongues have been busy of late, recording a BBC 6 Music live session for Marc Riley, releasimg a debut white vinyl 7″ of ‘I Found Love’ and touring Europe with Kitty, Daisy and Lewis. Here’s a rather amusing tour diary video the band have knocked together.

  3. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
