As well as recent writing recording sessions with James for a new album, which produced two songs with working titles Moving On and Gone Baby Gone for “imminent release” according to guitarist Larry Gott’s Twitter, and their recent appearance with Peter Kay in a specially made video for Comic Relief, Tim has continued to write for other projects in Topanga, California where he is now based. He’s also played a couple of low-key shows supporting Julia Fordham in Los Angeles.
Monkey God comes from Tim’s 2004 album Bone and its follow-up Love Life was released in April 2011 on his own label. He also released a collaboration with Angelo Badalamenti of Twin Peaks fame entitled Booth And The Bad Angel in 1996. His band for the tour featured Saul Davies from James and Dan Leavers from up-and-coming Brighton electro pioneers Soccer96. Tim also promises more live videos from the London Dingwalls show will be made available for viewing soon.
James are on tour with Echo and The Bunnymen in April in support of their Gathering Sound boxset, which was released late last year. They also headline a Forestry Commission show in Thetford Forest on June 13 and will perform at the V Festival in Chelmsford and Stafford in August.
