Three Johns postpone tour because of cancer scareThe Three Johns – one of the great bands from the 80s – have had to cancel their upcoming tour that we were looking forward to due to singer John Hyatt being diagnosed with treatable throat cancer.

We wish John all the best and it seems like they may have got there early enough.

Here is the official statement…

‘It is with unavoidable regret that The Three Johns are having to cancel the May tour. John Hyatt has recently been diagnosed with cancer of the throat. The prognosis for the future is good as it has avoided the vocal chords. However, radio-therapy treatment will begin and continue throughout May and June making it impossible to fulfil the dates.

It’s hoped that we will be able to reschedule the tour for later in the year but at this stage we are just taking things one day at a time. All the relevant venues and promoters have been informed and refunds will be available on tickets from the point of purchase.

We will keep you posted on developments when the time is right.

Thanks to all of you for your continuing support.’
