On the back of Matt Mead’s previous article on Liverpool’s Fab Five The Wicked Whispers, the band bring to your eyes and your soul their beautiful new video!

As I said previously regarding this magic band, you can add The Wicked Whispers to the long list of magnificent bands to come out of Liverpool with the sort of time less music you’ll be talking to your grandchildren about. Recent feedback for their latest release has included ‘Track of the Week’ Radio X, ‘Love The Psychedelic Vibe’ – BBC Radio 1, ‘Absolutely Love It’ Janice Long BBC Radio 2 ‘Glorious psychedelia’ Clash Magazine, ‘A Tidy Return To The Fray’ – Shindig!,’It sends the listener into a magical musical stratosphere’ Louder Than War, ‘Fantastic’ Dave Monks, BBC introducing.

This latest single release is a tour de force from the bands previous material, with the flip side, Zodiac Girl, taking as much of the limelight as the A side, If I Set You Free. Much like previous AA singles from esteemed bands The Beatles (Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane) and The Jam (Going Underground/Dreams of Children) The Wicked Whispers AA side has 2 uniquely brilliant videos. The video for If I Set You Free is a trip into tie die psych mischief. The brand new video for Zodiac Girl is a wonderful montage of Los Angeles in mid 60’s at it’s sun kissed finest. You may need to stop off at a Ice Cream van before watching to purchase a 99, with a flake. You can stream the video below:

You can the 7″ single from or download and stream from iTunes  , Google PlayAmazon music.

Get following the band on Facebook  , Twitter   Instagram or find them via their official site .

Matt Mead first took to writing for Louder Than War after compiling Flowered Up - A Weekenders Tale which received rave reviews across the board. Since then Matt has picked up the writing mantel composing impassioned album and live reviews plus conducting insightful interviews with a mixed bag of artists. If it has meaning and soul to it, then Matt will write about it!
