The Temps are a great new band from Liverpool says John Robb.
They have started with the Horrors and moved it to somewhere else of their own. They haves a great sound and great songs- a mixture of the dark side and left of centre garage rock mixed with a post punk nous and they are all about twenty.
They look great, classic – four skinny kids with angular hair, attitude and songs to match. They’re recording demos now and playing the occasional show. This story has just started.
They will break out this year – that is a certainty.
1. Who are ya?
We are four 19/20 year old friends who enjoy writing songs and travelling around doing gigs anywhere.
2. Where are you from?
We are all from a small district of Liverpool, all within walking distance of each other.
3. What are your influences?
Our influences range from member to member, from heavier stuff like Alexisonfire to more ska stuff like Dead 60s, however we all seem to share influences of Bauhaus, The Fall, The B-52s and The Horrors.
4. What are you about?
We are all about writing songs. And the songs we have are mainly about the bleaker parts of everyday life and the current system we are under.
5. Anything in common with rest of Liverpool?
The accent and that’s probably about it!
