Stone RosesTo make the very best use of their online fan page for The Stone Roses Fan’s Page with its over 16,000 members decided to put together a live music charity night in Manchester: with nearly 500 tickets sold over with £4,000 for two great charities it was a great success – that was 2014.(you can read all about the 2014 night right here
This year sees The Stone Roses Fans Page: Second Coming live music charity night back and it is bigger and better than last year – yes the student union bar prices remain and they Fan Page Admin would like to beat the amount raised last year
So what is happening: On Saturday September 5th 2015 at Manchester Metropolitan Students Union will play host to some superb live artist including The Clone Roses, The Winachi Tribe, The Happy Mondaze, Marblehead Johnson, Memory Clinic as well as some well-known DJ’s spinning tracks between sets including Cressa and MC Tunes  as well as a couple of amazing stalls including photographer Ian Tilton and A Little Red Original
The night is about having a great time with superior live music however it is also about raising money for a very special young boy called Alfie right here in Manchester and for an important small charity based in Scotland.
The Alfie Lund Fund: Alfie is one of a rare number of approximately 120 children in the world suffering from MECP2 duplication syndrome. Alfie cannot walk,talk, has severe learning difficulties and suffers from recurrent chest infections due to a weakened immune system; The charities aim is to raise awareness into this devastating disorder and funds specialist equipment Alfie needs.
Brain Tumour Action: The Brain Tumour Action has a vision of a day when brain tumours are brought under control and patients can take up their full lives again. Until that day comes, they provide support groups, publicises support groups run by other groups and organisations, offers counselling as well as improving the level of public knowledge about brain tumours and the issues they create.
