Louder Than War had a strong presence at the 2013 Rebellion Festival, reviews of the separate days have been published – we even ran a ticket competition prior to the festival.

Phil was dispatched to grab some pictures; here we present some of his ‘un-used’ photographs.

The Rebellion Festival 2014 will run 7th – 10th August once again at The Winter Gardens, Blackpool; Headliners NOFX have already been confirmed, other early confirmations include Dirt Box Disco, and Slaughter & The Dogs and Goldblade  – Early Bird Tickets are on sale now which offer a £35 saving on the full weekend price.

In addition a further one day Rebellion Festival has been announced, this one taking place at The Melkweg, Amsterdam Saturday March 22nd 2014 – Headliners have been confirmed as Cock Sparrer – Tickets go on sale 1st September 2013

Phil Newall is 47, from The Wirral - he earns his living not writing about music nor playing music...though sorely wishes he could. He was fortunate enough to see many of the first generation punk bands when they played the U18's matinee shows at Eric's, Liverpool. As an attendee at Eric's he was exposed to punk rock, dub reggae, art rock, and all manner of weirdness; as a customer at Probe Records he was variously served and scowled at by Pete Wylie and Pete Burns - he has written for Record Collector, Whisperin & Hollerin, and Spiral Scratch and wanted to write a book detailing the Liverpool punk scene; however with 'Head-On' Julian Cope beat him to it...and frankly did a much better job.
