The Lovely Eggs…are having a baby; they celebrate by re-pressing their first album!!

Those loveable Lancastrian’s David and Holly are expecting their first baby vey soon, LTW’s Cath Aubergine spoke to them back in Jan 2013 (LTW interview) and suggested that parenthood might making touring a little bit more difficult; this was brushed off – the answer being to add a child seat to the van.

Well it seems the Eggs are as good as their word, as today we recieved a short press release advising; well I’ve just re-published the entite thing so Holly and David can tell you in their own unique way…

We’re gunna have this, we’re gunna have that, we’re gunna have the other!”

Hello you lot! Eggs on’t phone.

Now fer those of you who don’t know, we’re gunna have a baby very soon!

So fer stupidity’s sake instead of painting the spare room and building cots we’ve decided to re-repress our first album and go out playing live this summer!

A lot of you have been asking after our debut album ‘If You Were Fruit’ which has been sold out for over a year now. And so due to popular demand (and to spite the bugger who had it up fer 300 quid on Amazon) we thought fuck it, let’s get it out again!

It’s released on APRIL 29TH on CD and limited edition collectable ‘EAT SHIT YELLOW’ 12″ vinyl and includes bonus tracks from our sold out first E.P ‘Have You Ever Heard The Lovely Eggs?’

The 1st 100 vinyl orders off our website will be SIGNED!

You can pre-order it HERE

Phil Newall is 47, from The Wirral - he earns his living not writing about music nor playing music...though sorely wishes he could. He was fortunate enough to see many of the first generation punk bands when they played the U18's matinee shows at Eric's, Liverpool. As an attendee at Eric's he was exposed to punk rock, dub reggae, art rock, and all manner of weirdness; as a customer at Probe Records he was variously served and scowled at by Pete Wylie and Pete Burns - he has written for Record Collector, Whisperin & Hollerin, and Spiral Scratch and wanted to write a book detailing the Liverpool punk scene; however with 'Head-On' Julian Cope beat him to it...and frankly did a much better job.
