The great Wilko Johnson to not play another gigThe legendary Wilko Johnson has said he will not play another gig.

The highly influential and brilliant guitar player, who has terminal cancer, played his last show with Madness and cancelled his remaining dates over the weekend. He has not said he will not play again to his local paper.

Thanks for the memories Wilko and the gig I saw at Koko was one of the greatest gigs I’ve ever been to- not because of the emotion but because of the sheer brilliance of your guitar playing and the performance.

I will play my telecaster tonight and think of you and hope all is as well as it can be and thank you for re inventing the guitar when it needed it.

  1. It won’t be what’s written on your headstone but what you have woven into hearts of others that will be remembered .
