One of THE classic punk bands, the Damned are marking their 35th anniversary with their best selling tour ever this November.

They plan to play the whole of 1977’s ”˜Damned, Damned, Damned’ and 1980’s ”˜Black Album’ on the tour which sounds like a pretty perfect package of the band at their best.

The good Captain tells us…

‘Whole musical genres have come and gone in the time this band has been playing. We just try to make music that we enjoy, and if other people are into it, that is a bonus. We certainly never made music to follow any trends. We must be doing something right because after 35 years, we still meet fans and musicians all over the world that blame us for corrupting their youth!’

The tour…
Bristol O2 Academy (November 9)
Birmingham O2 Academy (10)
Cambridge Corn Exchange (11)
London Roundhouse (12)
Brighton East Wing (13)
Norwich UEA (14)
Nottingham Rock City (15)
Newcastle O2 Academy (17)
Leeds O2 Academy (18)
Manchester Academy (19)
Edinburgh HMV Picture House (20)

  1. Should be good, but wouldn’t a NEW album be better? It sort of gives rise to all those ‘cabaret band’ jibes; going through the motions etc. Still, I will look forward to a live rendition of ‘Twisted Nerve’: I don’t think I’ve ever seen them doing that live.
