Birmingham garage rockers Table Scraps have released a scorching lockdown anthem.

Long-time favourites at Louder Than War, three-piece garage-rock riot Table Scraps have taken their place alongside the magnificent Black Bombers as lynchpins of Birmingham’s garage rock scene. Determined not to be silenced by Coronavirus restrictions, Scott Abbott (guitar & vocals), Tim Mobbs (bass & vocals), and Poppy Twist (drums & vocals) have cooked up the ultimate super-catchy, hard-rocking antidote to the lockdown blues.

Released just a few weeks into lockdown back in April, I Wanna Stay Home With U provides further evidence of Table Scraps’ sublime song-writing, wrapping topical and humourous lyrics around a prime slice of raw rock action that invokes The Stooges and Road-to-Ruin era Ramones.

The icing on the cake is the accompanying video, shot under lockdown conditions and featuring a whole host of guest luminaries including members of Death Valley Girls, Dream Wife and God Damn. Keeping it in the family, Brum punk-rock legend Dave Twist makes a cameo appearance.

I Wanna Stay Home With U is a hyper-addictive rush of swaggering garage-rock that makes a welcome change from the live-streamed acoustic sessions that have characterised the lockdown experience for music fans. Turn it up LOUD, download the single at the link below and check out the video.
