Sunn O))) Are Confirmed As Saturday Headliners For Temples Festival, Plus More Bands Announced

In another massive coup for the Bristol based heavy music festival who earlier in the year announced Converge will be headlining on Friday they’ve now dropped the BOMBSHELL that Sunn O))) is to headline on Saturday night. Full details of this – and more bands added to the bill – below.

Via the press release:

Bristol will quake, tremble and yield to the physically dominating frequencies of Sunn O))) as they take the headlining spot on the second day at Temples Festival 2015. They will play during the weekend of May 29-31st joining Converge, Today Is The Day, Goatsnake and more.

Sunn O))) need little introduction – unparalleled in sheer dynamic on record as they are onstage, they have played a large hand in defining the course of modern experimental and extreme music since their inception in 1998. Earlier this year they released their collaboration album with Ulver entitled Terrestrials, and these exciting partnerships are set to continue with imminent arrival of Soused on 4AD with cult musician Scott Walker.

In addition to Sunn O))), Temples Festival can announce more bands have been added to an already impressive line up, these are Martyrdöd, Skitsystem, Harms Way, Young And In The Way, Ken Mode, Krokodil and Grave Miasma.

Temples Festival is an independent music festival that takes place in Bristol in May 2015. Hosted at Bristol’s famed venue, Motion – a series of old Victorian warehouses now converted into a skate-park and unique music rooms. Set within the heart of Bristol’s industrial ‘Temple Quarter’, Temples is set to bolster and further contribute to the city’s world-renowned history of musical, artistic and cultural diversity.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
