We love this new mural of Ian Curtis by local painter AKSE P19 that was unveiled this week in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It’s all set to be a key stop off point on the music trail in the city. Its a stunning piece of artwork. A fitting tribute to the meticulous genius of Ian and Joy Division. It almost looks alive and is full of the power and emotion of the late singer – what a wonderful piece of artwork from the man who also painted the iconic Mark E Smith mural on the chip shop and the beautiful mural tribute to late singer Denise Johnson in Hulme. We are looking forward to his next piece!
