Stuart Worthington dies : key player in Manchester music scene ‘the glue in the fabric’We are shocked to hear of the death of Stuart Worthington. Stuart was a key player in Manchester music scene – the amount of advice, help, encouragement and deep knowledge he gave musicians and music organisations over the years was pure gold.

When there was no-one to help he was always there. Often being creative means being on your own with no advice or help and Stuart was always there for all of us. He was the glue to the fabric with legal, cultural and wise advice as well as being a huge fan – full of encouragement and he never took the credit that he so richly deserved.

Thanks Stuart – you were a total diamond. And big love to your wonderful partner Angela.

  1. Oh no!!! Boundless enthusiasm, positivity & optimism. He helped me & my ramshackle peers build companies from backstreets & bedrooms all across the city. He believed and championed us. We owe him a LOT. Thank-you Stuart.

  2. I am really sorry to hear this. He was a major support and offered us wise advice, always on a level, when we were trying to set up a business. He was also very good at wheedling out the money from people who had it and redirecting it towards people who were just starting out. He helped us a lot and I remember him as a really good guy. Rest in peace.

  3. Really shocking news. He was so enthusiastic and very helpful to many in the music industry, especially those who were embarking in it. He will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to Angie.
