Stooges guitarman James Williamson to record album with special guests

The man who put ‘rock’ and then ‘roll’ into rock ‘n’ roll guitar playing and the most badass guitar player of them all, James Williamson from the Stooges, is recording a special project in his year off from the band.

It’s been decided that 2014 is a year off from frontline action for the band so James is wasting no time with an album with special guest vocalists and a band made up of some great players…

“The Stooges are taking 2014 off from touring, I’m using the time to work on pet projects that I’ve always wanted to do — redoing a bunch of old stuff that was never properly recorded. It’s been a labor of love. You’ll start seeing singles come out starting on Record Store Day.”
