2. THE ASCENSION – GLENN BRANCA

Saw the Branca ensemble at Riverside studios in 1983 (?). I seem to remember Thurston Moore & Lee Renaldo being involved. Loved the volume, the repetition, the climaxes – ALL THOSE GUITARS. It was one of those moments where you suddenly heard the music that you had imagined in your head come to life. Thrilling.
