It’s looking like a busy summer for Stereokill Recordings. Here we round up what’s being released on the label over the next few months.
There is a new 4 track EP from Manchester alt country posse The Cornelius Crane who appeared in Louder Than War last year with the excellent ‘EP Too’. The new EP, their third, which is self titled ‘The Cornelius Crane’ will be available both digitally & on CD from June 17.
This will be followed by the labels new signing, Manchester punk legends Ed Banger & the Nosebleeds. There will be a digital single on July 1 ‘You’ve Been Tango’d’, a thought provoking tune about the ill’s over indulgence on sunbeds. The band will also release a full length of brand new material at the end of July available digitally & on CD on July 29 with an album launch show at Manchester’s Star & Garter on July 27.
The long awaited second album from Paris Angels will be available from late Summer. The album was recorded in 1992 & has remained unreleased apart from one song which was featured on the recent ‘Distant Drums’ compilation in memory of their drummer Simon Worrall which is raising money for the Hector Boon Care Chair Fund for the baby unit at St Marys Hospital Manchester. The album is called ‘Eclipse’ & will be preceded by a single ‘Door to Summer’ on July 15.
Finally, SupaJamma, Manchester’s coolest rock / ska / reggae group ever who featue the fine vocals of former Audioweb frontman Martin ‘Sugar’ Merchant and who have also previously appeared in LTW with the excellent ‘Its Alright’ and personal fave ‘Rudi’ are currently working on a new full length album with a single due late Summer. The song is entitled ‘Hope & Pray’ & will be available on 7 inch vinyl & as a digital download.
