Square Wild’s Mini Mega Fest: The Yard, Manchester – live photo review

Arriving during NGUVU opening the main stage I was greeted by an explosion of activity as I opened the door. This place was packed from start to finish, and for good reason too.

Square Wild celebrated their EP release by throwing their very own mini-festival championing independent Manchester artists. Hosted at The Yard, a Manchester venue, we heard from NGUVU, Sir Curse, Ask My Bull, The Pagens S.O.H, Shaku and it was of course headlined by Square Wild themselves. A great selection of artists, blending the boundaries of individual genres. Ska, funk, prog rock, jazz punk, neo soul the music this lot were playing really did live up to what was expected. They hoped for it to be an event to remember, starting 2022 off saying “lets dance” – and dance they did.
