Check this out…an amazing find. The whole soundcheck from the Sex Pistols legendary last ever show in San Fransisco has now surfaced on YouTube.

The bands final performance took place at the Winterland Ballroom on Saturday 14th January 1978 – 5000 tickets were sold in one day making it the (then) biggest gig of the bands short career.

The full audio of the gig was released in its entirety on CD in 1996 and again via Castle music in 2001 – a full video of the gig was released in both VHS (2000) and DVD (2003) formats. The Pistols were interviewed on the day of the gig, the entire 23 minute recording was later released on both the ‘Agents Of Anarchy’ and the ‘Pistols At Dawn’ albums – both are now available as MP3’s.

  1. Unashamedly happy to be able to hear this… put a big smile on my face! But what the hell does Sid say at the very end?? Rotten’s discontent is all too obvious but still, really great to be able to hear this.

  2. I was cheated out of every last drop of innocence left in me by the Sex Piatols back in 1976 and don’t feel cheated at all.
