Liverpool singer Jay Murray was performing in Liverpool’s Cavern Club on Dec 29th when someone ran out the crowd and picked him up by the feet and threw him over in a dangerous and unprovoked assault.

The assailant then kicked the singer on the floor. He has not been caught yet so please watch the video and see if you recognise him.

On his Facebook page Jay Murray wrote: ‘So I’m finally a celeb on social media its kinda funny what happened it happened so fast the f****r could have had a knife and I would have never felt it.

‘Thank God he didn’t cheers to all my ‘mates’ who shared it I’m OK just saw red so I gave him a hiding knuckles killing me now.

‘The p***k was crying like a baby apologizing to me. Moral of story be nice to one and other. Happy New Year.’

    • Probably not. Mentally unwell people are far more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators.
Please rethink your prejudices before posting in future.

      • Really? Seems like Boris Johnson and theresa may are doing huge damage to mentally well sane people causing huge damage hardship and mental harassment take tony Blair and a nr of this ilk completely mental and psychotic – behaving and acting like one of us, while commiting huge damage; slavery and destruction voilence death and murder and torture and terrorism on a huge scale, Mentally unwel people are not more likely to be victims. The whole world suffers by mentally unfit Psychotic- people in high places; making it succumb to their mental insanity.

      • I agree Kev McVeigh. The only hostile mentally ill people generally are paranoid schizophrenics. Every other person I’ve ever known with a mental illness are picked on and bullied by others, or are passive and subdued. This guy’s illness is – arseholitis.

  1. I can’t help but notice the “scumbag” remark. This is what I fail to understand. How and why news reporters are allowed to use an adjective like this for something so trivial but yet when covering stories about terrorist, paedophiles and other vile acts I never ever see any of these words used WHY???????? I’m not condoning what this man done but I just saw the word scumbag and i was honestly expecting to read a story about some vile act like paedohillia, abortion, terrorism or murder of an elderly person. Just putting it out there, thanks
