THE SCANERSFrench gonzo-synth punks release new video and announce UK live dates in support of their second album.

Fresh from releasing their second album (described by Louder Than War as maintaining the chaotic synth-punk sound of their first album, while bringing in a more new-wave style that suits them perfectly, resulting in a record that is as out of control as it is danceable) the band have released a video for the album’s opening song, Please Abduct Me, to mark some of their first European dates to promote the album.

The video tells the tale of an alien abducted into the terrestrial world of The Scaners and is a great representation of what the band are aiming for in style and sound. The song itself is one of those that have retained the more chaotic dense paranoid punk of their first album and rockets along at pace. It’s also a perfect showcase for their live shows. Fresh from playing a string of dates in Spain, the band will soon head to the UK for two dates at the beginning of May, playing the Hipsville Festival in Margate on the 4th of May, and then the Some Weird Sin night at The Finsbury in London on the 5th of May.
