Save one of the North’s best-loved punk venues
The owner of the building housing The Well, formerly known as Joseph’s Well, has given instructions for the venue to be turned into a restaurant.

In its almost 20 years as a venue, The Well has hosted bands from all over the world, as well as being a constant for West Yorkshire bands to whom it was always open.

Appearances by The Killers, British Sea Power, Keane, Buck 65, Kaiser Chiefs, Wheatus, Bloc Party, The Kills, The Stills, The Dears, Isis, Lars Frederickesen and many more have made it an essential stepping stone venue for local, national and international bands alike.

It’s possible that the building owner may have a change of heart if enough people sign the online petition, so please do so and help save one of our historic venues.
