Russell Crowe plans biopic of Bill Hicks- right or wrong?
Russell Crowe has reportedly signed on to make his feature film directorial debut- a biopic about the life of the late US comedian Bill Hicks, according to reports.

This could go either way and with someone as loved as Bill Hicks there is plenty of scope for mishap.

Crowe has teamed up with old schoolmate Mark Staufer, who has written the script,

“Bill Hicks’ life is tragically short, but spectacularly interesting,” Staufer told the newspaper.

“The screenplay has gone through a number of drafts and we’ll go into production early next year,” he said.

Hicks, the comic genius of our times died of pancreatic cancer in 1994. He was 32.

Crowe is currently in Iceland filming biblical epic Noah.
