Rolling Stones to tour this autumn

They really were the pioneers of taking the rock and the roll into their dotage weren’t they?

And it’s become quite heart warming, the Rolling Stones are to celebrate their 50th year with a series of gigs. Could the culminate in the much rumoured Glastonbury slot next summer? They were a bit too expensive last time we heard but I’m sure these things can be ironed out.

There had been lots of rumours and counter rumours about the band reforming and talk of rehearsals this week but the story finally came out when Mick Jagger told the Evening Standard,

You will definitely be seeing us all together soon. It’s been great fun being back together and there are a lot of memories in here. I can’t believe it’s been 50 years. We’ve been hanging out together, seeing quite a bit of each other and we want to do some gigs.

When pressed he said the band would be playing this autumn.
