3. Rock It – Thumper Jones


As rockabilly exploded in the mid 1950’s a crisis amongst the big labels was created.  With poor  country music sales Labels looked to their artist roster to see if they could re package some of their hillbilly singers to perform rockabilly . One of the best results was the wonderful George Jones. However George and his label Starday in order not to upset his country fans issued this rockabilly classic under the thinly disguised name of Thumper Jones.
