RIP : Former Static-X lead singer and guitarist Wayne Static has died at 48Former Static-X lead singer and guitarist Wayne Static has died at 48.

there is no cause of death although the singer had been fighting his demons at various times in his career.  Static was scheduled to tour with Powerman 5000 and Drowning Pool in the coming months.
The band was formed in 1994 after dissolving his previous group, Deep Blue Dream and their debut album,Wisconsin Death Trip, went platinum five years later.

Static-X went on to release five more albums. The last was 2009’s Cult of Static.

Static-X disbanded last year and Wayne with his trademark gravity defying hair started a solo career.

In 2008, according to reports, he married adult star Tera Wray in Las Vegas, after they first met at 2007’s Ozzfest, and they lived in Joshua Tree, California.
