Stone Roses to release new album?
Stone Roses to release new album?

The Stone Roses story has been swirling around all day.

Stone Roses to reform?
Stone Roses to reform?

I can’t give the full story but it looks like something is on.

The latest and weirdest twist, though, is a quote I have been sent from Reni at 20.00 on Friday night which he also sent to the NME at the same time and no-one else.

It’s pretty cryptic.

Reni ‘”Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again”‘

Does this mean that Reni is not doing it? is there is another drummer? or is this a double bluff and just what is ‘9T’?

Apart from that, the Tuesday press conference is announcing something about someone..that much is true…

From other whispers on the grapevine the Roses will be playing gigs…Some big name musician says he has known about it for months.

Beyond that, well you would expect them to have new songs, I can’t imagine this being a greatest hits set and there will almost definitely be new songs and then you would expect some sort of recording…all will be revealed on Tuesday…and maybe I can tell you what I know then.

  1. ‘9T’. Does he mean 9 o’clock on Tuesday? And Mani’s keeping unusually quiet so far. Living in hope …

  2. Heard Mani’s wife talking loudly on the phone last week about how he was I’n rehearsals all week. Thought it was for Primal Scream though. She was unusually loud. Hmmmm

  8. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

  9. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
