Rejoice! Swedish rock collective GOAT releasing their highly-anticipated second album in Sept. Stream taster here

Swedish rock collective GOAT will release their highly-anticipated second album, Commune, on 22nd September 2014 via the brilliant Rocket Recordings in the UK. Check out a first taster off it below.

Commune is the follow-up to GOAT’s hypnotic 2012 debut, World Music, which of course placed highly in many end of year lists – including out own. They also have a handful of live dates lined up to coincide with the release – full dates below.

Commune is available to preorder now on LP / CD / DL. You will receive an immediate download of ‘Hide from the Sun’ when you pre-order.

Rocket also have some limited bundle offers when you purchase an ultra-limited Gold Vinyl LP that comes with a 7″ featuring a non-album track plus ‘exclusive to the Rocket release’ – a remix of ‘Hide from the Sun’ by psych wizard, Al Lover.  Also available as part of the bundles are five colour print posters and limited edition t-shirts.

We’ve been told the album delivers:

…a heavy dose of acidic grooves, hypnotic incantations, and serpentine guitar lines.

…which comes as no surprise to those of us who know the band!

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
