Photographer Melanie Smith went along to O2 Ritz to capture the show as one of their house photographers and she shares the images with Louder Than War below.

The very talented, much loved Blackpool singer/songwriter/musician Rae Morris warmed up the Neighbourhood Festival launch party with a strong and lively performance. Rae’s most recent album ‘Someone Out There’ was released in January 2018, and she kicked off the set with the poignant track ‘Push Me to the Limit’ from the album. Rae has grown immensely in confidence as a performer over the years and is producing some excellent electro pop tunes. Rae also had support from friends Billie Marten, Adam French and Anais.

Editor: live reviews / books and head of photography. I can't imagine my life without music, photography or books, all connect and have played a big part in my life. I have experienced many musical genres, northern soul in 1975, early punk movement, drifting into the electronic era, a trip around the rock scene, a taste of indie and a smattering of pop. I possess an eclectic taste in music and a lust for life; new experiences are what drives this machine. I still have that punk DIY spirit and used this to create my own website Mudkiss Fanzine in 2008 - 2013. Official photographer for Louder Than Words - annual music literary festival and a house photographer for Academy Music Group.
