Night and Day Cafe, Manchester

 3rd March 2014

At the end of the gig, I got talking to a bloke who compared the it with that famous night in Manchester punk history when the Sex Pistols played The Lesser Free Trade Hall.

Another said that he’d been living in Manchester for 10 years and had not been to such an exciting gig as that in all that time. Another said he’d never ever seen the Night and Day Bar like he’d seen it tonight.

These young kids from Missouri, on their first ever headline tour, delivered a master-class in Rock and Roll. Playing tracks from their EP’s Cat and Mouse and Devil Fruit, the 100 or so crowd were treated to a 45 minute whirlwind of a set. At the end of the night, such was the delight of the crowd and the band with this wonderful night, all 3 band members crowd surfed all the way from the stage to the back of the room.

RADKEY are the future – certainly one of the futures – of Rock and Roll. Do t miss them next time around.
