Queen, who are apparently now the biggest group ever in the UK, bigger than the Beatles have reformed to play some summer shows with someone called Adam Lambert from American Idol to fill in for Freddie Mercury.
The gigs are being billed as a tribute to Freddie Mercury but it’s pushing it a bit, will there be a point in the future when bands continue as brand names with no original members? Can we see in fifty years time the Beatles on tour, not as a covers band but as a pretend real thing? Is this wrong or right? Is it Queen with a boy band glove puppet singing for them? Were Queen any good anyway?
